I enjoyed this ride very much. Mostly beautiful scenery of almond blossoms in bloom. Roads were mostly good with well marked bike lanes. I liked that there were three choices of routes and that everyone was able to ride at their own pace. Mostly flat roads with a few short climbs over overpasses. Great ride! I’d like to do it again next year.

The event was well organized with friendly staff. The course crossed three rivers and miles of almond trees in blossom. The event photographer was Photo Crazy. His setup was outstanding. He also ran the Speed Challenge using RFID tags (71266) in my case).

Downtown Ripon, 65 miles south of Sacramento on Highway 99. Three Routes: Family Ride (15 miles), Half Metric Century (31 miles), Full Metric Century (62 miles). Come ride amidst the most beautiful farmland in America during the spring almond blossom bloom in the heart of California. The full metric course crosses the Central Valley’s three major rivers: The San Joaquin, the Tuolumne, and the Stanislaus. It pauses mid-ride riverside at Laird County Park in Grayson, then on to the beautiful San Joaquin National Wildlife Refuge, a brief detour to the Durham Ferry State Recreation Area, and then home for a close encounter with lush Caswell State Park in Ripon. All entries include fully stocked aid stations, bike mechanics, pre-ride continental breakfast and a commemorative medallion. All proceeds benefit Music First, providing music for children, seniors, and the mentally handicapped throughout the West. Pre-reg: $25 Full Century, $20 Half Century, $20 Quarter Century, $25 Family.
