We had a fantastic time on our 4th Grand Tour. We always love the staff. We did get lost a couple of times, but SAG was very helpful. We loved that we could have a sandwich made with our own choosings. That was a nice extra. Many, including ourselves, couldn’t find the first rest stop, so that could use some better markings. There were also a couple turns that weren’t marked and the street names were not correct. We got lost around the Pasadena street. Ira was super helpful and responded super quickly via email and Kermit is always helpful via messenger. All the staff were very helpful, kind and kept us encouraged and fed well. It was a great event. Now if you could just order up tailwinds 😉

I really enjoy this ride in highland route, well organized event with beautiful views little hard in the climb area but
really nice in the way back with the fresh air of the beach ,great food , hammer gel for cyclist lots water and soda plus
the great help of the SAG member…. I receive two times help on the route with flat tire problems lucky I was able to make it …
Definitely I recommend this Ride, the only thing was the route was complicated to follow in the city I hear people get lose many times ,
so lucky I rode with “RIDE WITH GPS” So the ride was not complicated for me but I suggest less loops in the city Kudos to all member that make this possible as also the great photos of PHOTOCRAZY.COM …

This is my 8th time riding the Grand Tour. This ride is one I look forward to participating in each year.
The staff is very helpful and the SAGs are always well stocked with yummy food and friendly people. The course is enjoyable, the ride up to Ojai is one of my favorite sections of the ride. If you like Double Century length rides this is the one to do!

The Lowland double century (200 miles) spends the most time along the comfortably cool coast. It travels up Pacific Coast Highway to Port Hueneme in Ventura County, inland to Moorpark, back out to the coast at Ventura, inland to Ojai for lunch, back to the coast at Rincon point at the very southwestern point in Santa Barbara County, south along PCH back to Port Hueneme rest stop, then back to the Start/Finish at Malibu. Total elevation gain is about 5,000 feet.
