This is my first time participating in the Grand Fondo Santa Clarita ride. It was well staffed and advertised on the web.

The Grand Fondo course is one of the best local events offering challenging climbs and lots of local Santa Clarita wind! I felt very safe on the course and the vehicular traffic was very low. The road conditions were very good with just a few areas that had pot holes.

Moving forward, I think this event would benefit from a broader advertising and promotional perspective. This event is very “rider” friendly and offers several options from entry level to serious cycling selections. Additionally, there was a larger woman’s turnout than in the past. Overall, I see this becoming a much bigger event using the internet and other promotional tools.

did the gran fondo ride. Def for advanced riders. Lots of climbing so make sure you are in adequate shape. You’ll be rewarded with great views. SAG support was friendly and they had volunteers driving around looking for troubled riders – which you may need if you haven’t been training properly. good time.

Wonderful well organized event. The route for the Medio was challenging with climbs and headwinds and beautiful scenery. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. I appreciated the road markings along the way. There were a few stretches with motorists not realizing there was an event going on – but otherwise awesome.
