I have been riding with MS for years and enjoy the experience and purpose for the event – to find a cure. The support on the route this year seemed to be better than last year with repair vans and motorcycle assistance which was greatly appreciated. The rest stops had enthusiastic volunteers and the food was good. The traffic has increased over the years and has become a deterrent to my comfort. The areas on the route with little to no bike lane and high speeds are just not safe for anyone to ride on, but I know it’s hard to find a place to ride that is perfect. All in all it was a nice event….we just need to build it up with more riders!

Enjoyed the ride, especially the variety of routes. Had an injury this year so only rode 50 miles but it was challenging, while my husband rode the 75 and we met up on the road. All rest stops had great people….and food. I’m very happy that we had great photos this year, didn’t order last year.

I rode the 100 mile route on Saturday, and the 50 miler on Sunday. I really liked both routes and am looking forward to doing this ride again next year. Very well supported ride. During the ride I came upon a guy whose chain had fallen off, and within a few minutes the Global Bikes mechanic was there to help him out.

This was my first time riding this. Due to injury from something else, I only rode the 100 mile on Saturday. The routes were mostly wonderful but there were a few that had faster and closer traffic than I would have liked, but that is to be expected in the Phoenix area. Some of the roads had truly outstanding views of the surrounding landscape while others nearer Phoenix were through neighborhoods. The rest stops and route directions were perfect. Volunteers at every stop were encouraging, welcoming, and kind. Food at stops was perfect for a long day riding. AZ wilderness beer hit the spot at the finish. Same for the hot shower. Sunset from the campground was wonderful and may have been the highlight of an already fantastic day.

This was a great fundraising ride. I only rode the first day and did the 100 mile route (versus the 50 and 75 mile routes). The first part of the ride was city streets and not too great of views but the views for the last 50-60 miles of the superstition mountains were gorgeous. The time of year was great as the temperature never rose above 80 degrees which is perfect Arizona spring weather. All of the rest stops were well equipped with first aid and good energy snacks and electrolyte water. All the volunteers and event staff were friendly and encouraging along the ride. The campsite for the night was quiet and easy to get to. The shower trucks are such a plus after such a long ride! The only improvement I’d make is moving the start and finish area (it was on a gravel road that is not good for road bike tires). Thanks for another great year Bike MS!
